This role is part of Alcon's Finance, Accounting, & Audit function, a team that advances Alcon's financial strategy and ensures fiscal responsibility as we transform the eye care industry.

Accounts Payable Specialist with GERMAN

The AP Specialist is responsible for driving AP excellence activities for all markets in scope of the AP EMEA - AGS Warsaw.

By making tactical use of strong accounts payable, systems and processes knowledge, as well as solution-driven/customer-oriented communication skills, the AP Specialist acts as an all-rounder by managing stakeholder service requests, supporting on challenging invoices and acting as subject matter expert on AP Systems.

In this role, a typical day will include:

• Close collaboration and active involvement within the AGS invoice processing team. General support of follow-up and resolution activities reg. invoice processing
• Invoice corrections, non-standard document posting (e.g. Tax, language dependent doc.)
• Follow up and resolution of blocked invoices and AP aged open items
• Manage calls and solve respective requests via ServiceNow (Called FNOW in FRA) , ensuring turn-around-time and expected SLA, provide diligent business support in AP area
• Pro-active follow-up activities for aged items
• Perform related Compliance control (SOX Compliance) and other internal controls
• Close collaboration with other R2P stakeholders within the process
• Close collaboration with T&E team in AGS Warsaw and others FRA teams,
• Drive a continuous improvement mindset in the organization
• Purecloud activity (AP Infoline)

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

• Fluent English and GERMAN,
• Experience in Account Payable area,
• Experience in shared services environment,
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience with SAP - nice to have,
• Team player with very good communication skill.
