About the team

The Global Commercial Finance Team (GCF) is a trusted and recognized Business Partner Community who is providing leadership, service, and insight in all commercial related activities.

We are looking for you as Commercial Business Partner (f/m/d) for the GCF Service Commercial Organization.

The Services Commercial team provides support for the Services Sales Team tasked with selling Services solution portfolio into our large enterprise and subsidiary customer base. The Commercial Business Partner for Services supports the Services Sales Team from the early stages of the deal structuring through the setup of the deal in the system and the contract stage.

The Commercial Business Partner is managing the strategic deals with the different Commercial Business Subject Matter Experts and Services & Sales Management in a bilateral cooperation based on Project Management approach.

Commercial Business Partner for strategic deals will hold a key position in strategic deal shaping and approval and pull strings, if necessary, to qualify, offer solutions for complex deal scenarios and make sure "Fast track" deal approval approach is used. The role is focused on actively building and maintaining trustful and cooperative business-oriented partnerships with Sales, GSS, GFA Organizations with Counseling and Advisory long-term business relationships.

Summary & Role Information

The major areas of responsibility are:
  • As part of Commercial Business Partner team, you will serve as a trusted advisor providing value added advisory services to the field to drive deal structuring and provide directions and support to the Services Sales Team and CSS in the early stages of the sales cycle to help them maximize value and minimize risks.
  • Lead deal support across multi-functional internal teams, (Commercial Business-Partners, Rev Rec, Finance, Legal) on complex deal scenarios.
  • Collaborate with Sales, during customer negotiations, on customer feedback on the contract/negotiation strategy and content and find compliant solutions to ensure customer success.
  • Support decision making process considering all various factors such as: customer requirements; field organization business targets and needs; internal rules and restrictions; financial risks and compliance matters; escalation management where appropriate.
  • Ensure Compliance with corporate guidelines and management policies.
  • Closely collaborate and interact with CFO to allow F&A One Voice.
  • Provide field enablement and training.

Experience (Role Requirements)
  • BS Degree: MBA and/or financial or legal degree preferred
  • At least 2 years of experience in the SAP eco-system either with a finance background, service, sales, product knowledge or with project management experience
  • Collaborative style to work with different parts of the SAP organization during the negotiation process
  • Good Listening skills and attention to detail
  • A team-player with a collaborative style to work with multiple groups
  • Work effectively with stakeholders in a matrix model
  • International working experience required
  • Advanced written and spoken English and German skills, Turkish as advantage
  • Fluent written and spoken language skills of other languages, beneficial
  • First SAP experience and skills with commercial business partnering including working with revenue recognition, pricing, VSOE, contracts preferred
  • Prior Contracts and/or Negotiations experience an asset
  • Prior Sales or Services experience an asset
