DevOps Engineer (Fluent German)

At Westernacher Solutions, you will have the chance to use your solid skills as DevOps Engineer to deliver high-quality solutions. You will also have the opportunity to work in an agile environment in a small to middle-sized distributed team of skillful engineers.
We are expanding our DevOps Team both in a software project that plays a crucial role in the field of eGovernment in Germany by introducing identity management, privacy, and secure communication channels.
What are you going to do?
- Design, provision, support, and further development of our CI / CD environment
- Development of modern build and deployment pipelines (Gitlab / Bamboo)
- Design, construction, administration, and operation of the container platforms
- Development and maintenance of Terraform code and modules
- Support in the continuous further development of concepts, methods, and tools in connection with software lifecycle management
- Support in the automation of all systems/services
- Support the Engineering Teams on DevOps topics (Kubernetes / Grafana / Prometheus / Observability / Service Mesh)
- Work in an agile environment in a small to middle-sized distributed team of skillful software engineers.
Your skills and experience:
- Completed (bachelor's) degree, for example in the field of business informatics, computer science, or comparable
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar position and with the technologies and applications described
- Experience with Linux, especially Ubuntu and CentOS
- Independent way of working and ability to work in a team
- Enthusiasm for new technologies and solutions
- Fluent German and Very Good English
In addition, according to specialization, knowledge, or experience in/with:
- Configuration management tool (Chef / Ansible / Puppet / Salt)
- CI / CD pipelines based on GitLab or Atlassian Bamboo
- AWS, especially with the VPC and EC2 instances
- Configuration and deployment of Apache Tomcat
- Rancher
- HashiCorp Terraform and Packer
