About the Role

Gracenote is an entertainment data and technology provider. We help people find, discover, and connect with the entertainment they love. As a German Editor, you will contribute to our mission by performing editorial tasks related to the development of media databases and content, specifically in the TV and movie sphere. Your passion for movies and series, knowledge of TV listings, and familiarity with the media sector will be valuable in creating and enhancing top content in our media database.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and record accurate information on programs and TV listings from various German channels and content providers.
• Investigate and confirm program content by consulting program information providers.
• Consolidate and update data content in databases.
• Edit and maintain TV listings, and curate information on movies and shows.
• Maintain accurate database information and ensure timely updates.
• Analyze, develop, and recommend solutions for editorial, communication, and technical needs.
• Act as a customer service representative for product content and editorial policies.
• Perform other assigned duties.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in German with impeccable writing and verbal skills.
• Ability to start as soon as possible is highly desirable.
• Effective writing, grammatical, organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Background in journalism, copywriting, or translation preferred.
• Good knowledge of German television and VOD programming, and a passion for movies.
• Attention to detail and ability to work accurately under deadline.
• Proficiency in Windows and other computer software, databases, and excellent keyboarding skills.
