Mainframe Developer with German (Big Data) - Sofia (m/f/diverse)

Your tasks

• Contributing your in-depth knowledge in the development of programs in COBOL and DB2 on z/OS and ensure the operation and maintenance of our applications;
• Performing indipendantly tasks as part of the entire development process with the main focus on design, implementation, test, rollout and 3rd level support;
• Active daily cheking the result of the nightly batch runs from 6:00 a.m.;
• Analysing of production problems and responsibility for incident and problem management;
• Working with the team to resolve issues;
• Supporting the team in testing and production operations;
• Responsibility for the production-related part of the test environment
• Creating, editing and reviewing relevant documents for the operation of our products;
• Monitoring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and create required documentation;
• Supporting users through data retrieval, analysis and product deployment;
• Processing of inquiries about operational aspects of our products.

Your profile

• Very good knowledge of design, development and operation of mainframe applications with excellent knowledge of z/OS, COBOL, DB2
• Proficient in the use of the mainframe development and deployment tools used in the Commerzbank (COBOL programs, control cards, OPC, DB2, utilities, SQL, DB2 Catalog Manager, Aqua Data Studio, Rumba);
• Good knowledge of Commerzbank-specific processes (Commerzbank Delivery Guide, Test Management Framework, change management, etc.);
• Experience with agile working methods (Scrum, Kanban) and Atlassian Tools (Jira & Confluence);
• Very good analytical, conceptual and solution-oriented thinking and workin;
• Strong customer and service orientation as well as the willingness to work independentl;
• Team spirit and quality awarenes;
• A good command of spoken and written German and English;
• University degree in IT or relevant.
