Part-time Lecturer (German) (24250181)
Responsibilities:
The appointee is expected to (i) teach undergraduate German language/German culture and society courses; (ii) provide assistance in the design, preparation, and revision of syllabuses, assessments, and teaching materials including self-access language learning materials; and (iii) perform other duties assigned by the Head of the Language Centre.
Requirements:
Applicants should have a relevant Master's degree or above with at least 3 years of tertiary-level teaching experience and proven expertise in teaching German as a foreign language preferably to Asian learners. Native or near native proficiency in German, fluent in English, and good organisational and communication skills are required.
Applicants are required to (i) specify how their qualifications match the above requirements in an English cover letter and CV; and (ii) provide their latest teaching evaluation reports and supporting documents in their application.
The initial appointment will be made on a part-time contract per course basis commencing September 2025. Re-appointment thereafter is subject to performance review and course availability.
Salary: HK$750 per hour (for credit-bearing courses) and HK$550 per hour (for non-credit-bearing courses)
