The Role & What You Will Be Doing Are you detailed oriented passionate about payroll and wanted to work in an amazing team? This is opportunity is for you! We are seeking a German speaking Payroll Specialist to be a part of our amazing team in Budapest. In this role, you will be doing Benefits in Kind (BIK) processes for our Germany location, ensure accurate and compliant BIK processing, as well as a part of a great team with other payroll opportunities. You will collaborate with many departments including HR, Finance (e.g. AP, VAT, Tax team) and external payroll provider to ensure accurate, timely and compliant processing of BIK.

Payroll Specialist role will make an impact:
- Within the payroll department processing of the Benefits in Kind processes, including company cars, meals, events and other taxable/nontaxable benefits
- Collect, organize and review payroll benefit in kind invoices and inputs from various internal sources, to ensure accurate processing during the month, consolidate them by the payroll closing and share it with the payroll provider and managing system updates if required
- Checking the monthly payroll output file prepared by the payroll service provider and check BIK is correct
- Create and validate BIK calculations
- Handling payroll benefit in kind related queries coming from the employees or other stakeholders during the month
- Daily cooperation and collaboration with the vendor and external stakeholders
- Participate and support senior payroll tax specialist in internal reviews and during external audits regarding benefits, taxation and payroll accuracy
- Collaborating with contact departments. Work closely with the Accounts Payable Team, Tax Team, VAT team, Events management team and the cost center owners of the business to be able to collect all tax relevant input required for the tax evaluation
- Maintain accurate payroll documentation for audit purposes
- Proactive in BIK process improvements
- Prepare monthly reports for stakeholders.
- Perform other payroll duties as assigned
About Your Skills & Experience For this role, we're looking for a candidate who has an effective combination of the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree preferably field (or equivalent) and minimum of 1 year of experience in similar field, however, a combination of experience and/or education will be taken into consideration
- Knowledge of BIK Germany and German payroll/tax is an advantage
- Knowledge of payroll and finance applications, particularly in shared service operations such SAP or Loga P&I is an advantage
- Must possess a strong focus on customer service with the ability to communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of management and external vendors via multiple sources such as telephone, email, etc.
- Must possess the ability to learn and retain information related to Germany BIK and payroll
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with multiple priorities that requires decision-making capabilities
- Strong excel skills and ability to analyze and interpret and present data
- Open to learn other markets apart from BIK Germany
- English and German languages are required. Ability to read and interpret business and/or technical documents. Ability to work with managers or directors and communicate ambiguous concepts.
