The Position

Please note that this role offers a fixed-term contract (up until Dec 31, 2027), which has the potential to be extended based on project needs and performance.

The Record to Report (R2R) Department is a global organization of over 650 experienced finance professionals working together to deliver financial services and solutions for Roche across theEMEA region. Our services cover financial management, period-end closing, capital and lease accounting, credit and receivables, manufacturing finance, and divisional reporting, ensuring compliance for 263 reporting entities in 96 countries with accounting standards (IFRS, GAAP) and providing assurance of financial integrity.

The Opportunity

As a Senior Financial Accountant you will perform day-to-day and closing activities in cooperation with cross-functional departments, according to predefined deadlines with full ownership of their tasks and in compliance with the Process Documentations of the respective business sub-process. In this position you will focus on:

• Calculatingand issuingAR manual invoices, daily bank posting, leased assets, fixed asset and CAPEX accounting activities, taxes, GL journals and accruals and handling rejected and returned payments, posting and reconciling treasury transactions
• Clearingcustomer accounts, collecting customer direct debit payments, contacting with customers, AR and bank suspense accounts, allocating cash, credit management
• Reconcilingand reportingintercompany balance and clearing B/S Accounts
• Defining and calculatingcost and revenue allocation in controlling
• Conductingproduct closing in the Material Management module of SAP
• Reportingfor consolidation
• Preparingaudit documentation and participating in internal and external audits

Who you are

• University degree, preferably in Finance/Accounting related discipline
• 2-4 years of experience in a relevant position
• Excellent communication and analytical skills
• Outstanding customer orientation and service focus
• Strong interpersonal skills and team player attitude
• Proficiency in English, German is advantage
