Technical Writer Software Documentation (with German)

Job Description

Your tasks:
  • You are responsible for the documentation (HTML5 online help) of central, Bosch-internal software solutions in the area of Identity & Access Management.
  • You create and update the documentation for Bosch-internal customers according to a Documentation Style Guide in a Content Management System for professional documentation (Smart Media Creator)
  • You define and enhance the terminology used in documentation, user interfaces, and other areas (English and German)
  • You coordinate translation projects with external language service providers
  • You support the team-internal documentation in Atlassian Confluence upon demand
  • You continuously enhance the meta data concept, and the Documentation Style Guide and work on future-proof concepts for customer documentation in the area of Identity Management
  • You continuously enhance the Content Management System, e.g. configuration of the software, deployment of new updates or implementation of new requirements in alignment with the external vendor and internal operations team.


Qualifications

Your profile:
  • University degree in technical writing, language studies, communication or similar
  • Work experience 2+ years
  • Very good knowledge of principles of functional design, topic-based authoring, meta data concepts
  • Very good knowledge of Content Management Systems like Smart Media Creator or similar (Schema ST4, Author it, Cosima Go!, MadCap Flare)
  • Proven capability of explaining complex software functions to customers in an easy and consistent way
  • Very good communication skills, highly self-organized, precise working style
  • Excellent command of English & German language
  • Open to working in an international environment and to constantly adopting new information
