We're looking for a dedicated Accounts Payable Accountant (German-speaking) (all genders) to join our Tech Hub in Prishtina, Kosovo. In this role, you'll take ownership of day-to-day accounts payable activities while also contributing ideas to improve and streamline our processes in collaboration with our teams.
The work you'll do
- Independently manage day-to-day accounts payable tasks, for our Headquarters in Germany, including reviewing, allocating, and posting incoming invoices to the correct accounts and cost centres in the system.
- Review and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness and maintain vendor accounts to ensure balances are correct and up to date.
- Support the preparation of monthly and annual financial statements in accordance with IFRS and German GAAP (HGB), and assist with the execution of payment runs.
- Take a process-oriented approach to your work and proactively identify opportunities to improve and streamline workflows within the team.
- Process travel expenses and reconcile company credit cards in a timely and accurate manner.
The qualifications you need
- Completed professional or academic training in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a comparable commercial field.
- Solid professional experience in accounts payable.
- Strong MS Office skills, particularly in Excel; experience with SAP is a plus.
- Strong numerical skills and an independent, detail-oriented, and collaborative working style.
- Affinity for IT-driven processes and an interest in staying up to date and exploring new tools to improve efficiency.
- Excellent German skills at native or C1 level; English skills are an advantage.
