Applications engineer - FCD German speaking

Role summary:

Flowserve is looking for a technically and commercially experienced salesperson in the office (Applications Engineer). In this function you will develop solutions for customers and partners for industrial and special applications.
You will act as a product specialist (valve product portfolio) in a team and work closely with the sales, development, and other specialist departments at the site.

Your role:

• Prepare quotations by evaluating customers' requirements and provide quotation responses by sizing, specifying and pricing valves in accordance with customers' specifications
• Prepare technically sound and cost-effective quotations, in order to contribute to obtaining related sales and bookings growth
• Prepare detailed, complete and correct purchase order transfer files for proper transfer into our respective manufacturing operations
• Participate in bid clarification meetings with the customers (international travel required)
• Develop a keen understanding of the Flowserve product lines and their respective operations to enhance application engineering, quotation generation and sales support efforts

Your profile:

• BS or BA Degree in relevant field
• Ideally one year of relevant experience
• Experience as an Applications Engineer or similar role such as, inside Sales Representative, Engineer
• Good communication skills
• Strong technician acumen and analytical thinking
• SAP knowledge Experience in dealing with common MS Office applications
