ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM:
You will support the German finance team by delivering standardized operational work in SAP and ServiceNow. The focus is on data preparation, documentation and process support. This role does not include final accounting responsibility, approvals or decision-making.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
1) SAP - Finance Operations Support
• Prepare accounts payable documents (formal checks, pre-accounting/coding based on rules)
• Create booking proposals / CSV files (final postings are performed in Germany)
• Prepare data for accruals, provisions and prepayments (roll-forward, document packages)• Maintain clean, audit-ready documentation in the DMS
2) ServiceNow - Billing & Reporting Support
• Prepare usage/service data for billing and controlling
• Create standardized reports and exports (no interpretation)
• Run data quality checks (completeness/plausibility) and document handovers
3) Month-End & Day-1 Close Support
• Support the Day-1 close (first working day of the month) and group submission to the parent
company (SITA)
• Deliver agreed data packages by month-end (cut-off)
• Work strictly based on SOPs/checklists with reliable handovers
Explicit Exclusions (important)
• No final postings in SAP, no close ownership
• No payment approvals, no bank detail changes, no critical master data changes without 4-eyes
control
• No tax returns submission, no external communication (customers, auditors, authorities
Qualifications
WHO YOU ARE:
• Experience in finance operations/accounting support (2+ years)
• Hands-on SAP FI knowledge (AP / GL-related tasks)
• Strong Excel skills (Pivot/CSV, data checks)
• German: fluent spoken and written (mandatory)
• English: professional spoken and written
• Structured, reliable working style; strong ownership, especially around month-end deadlines
Nice-to-have
• ServiceNow experience or similar ERP/ticketing systems
• Experience with DMS, process documentation and SOPs
• Understanding of billing/usage logic in an IT services context
