Role Summary

The Field Marketing Intern, with excellent English and German language skills, will be part of the EMEA Marketing Internship team. This is a 12 month paid internship starting in June 2026 through to the end of June 2027. This role will report to the Director of EMEA Channel Marketing and deliver marketing support across the EMEA region to implement marketing campaigns, support with event and webinar delivery, monitor social media platforms, and conduct analysis and reporting on the activity. They will also be supporting the German Field Marketing team with the specific marketing tasks, where the German language is required.

In addition to being a skilled communicator, the candidate should have excellent multitasking and organisational abilities. This internship will allow the candidate to acquire essential marketing skills, work with marketing experts across the globe, and provide them with knowledge of various marketing strategies and platforms. Ultimately, you will gain comprehensive experience with a wide range of transferable skills in marketing to prepare them to enter any fast-paced environment in the future.

This person needs to be a motivated team-player who is organized, result driven, diligent and ideally speaks one or multiple core EMEA languages with German being mandatory and Spanish, Italian, French optional.

This position is being offered as fully remote with a requirement to attend our headquarters in Abingdon, Oxfordshire on a regular basis (no less than once a month) to meet with the wider team.

What You Will Do:

• Support with marketing campaigns - the creation of collateral, copywriting, proofreading, email creation and campaign reporting.
• Support with virtual and in-person events - event registration pages, social media promotion, creation of delegate packs, event reporting, and where necessary, attend the events.
• Support the webinar programme - webinar creation, scheduling, registration tracking, webinar hosting, and post-webinar reporting.
• Using internal systems such as Salesforce, Asana, Zoom and Microsoft Teams to update information, manage your workload, and effectively communicate with the marketing team.
• Create copy and content for key marketing communications and use supporting creative tools such as Taxi, Goldcast, and Canva to build emails, event registration pages and social media posts.
• Help to ensure that the wider Sophos teams, including the regional sales teams, are kept up-to-date with planned marketing activities.
• Support Sophos EMEA and German team in preparing and executing marketing activities and campaigns.

What You Will Bring:

• Currently a graduate student within a Marketing discipline seeking a 12 month industry placement.
• A keen interest in Marketing and a desire to develop commercial experience in this field.
• Good project management and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong German language skills, both spoken and written.
• Strong English language, both spoken and written.
• Confident, self-motivated, and able to manage own workload.
• Previous work experience in an office environment desired.
• Commences: 8th June 2026.
• Contract Type: 12 month fixed term contract.
• Contract Hours: Full time.
• Location: Remote but able to attend our Abingdon, Oxfordshire headquarters no less than once per month.
