As a
Tour Conductor for Gustoventura, you will help our travelers fulfill their dream of discovering the Mediterranean, creating meaningful and memorable journeys by bridging cultural gaps and fostering an appreciation for local, seasonal culinary traditions.
Note: The team is currently full, but the team is fast-growing, and we might have opportunities soon! Please keep in mind, we'll only consider applications written in English.Your RoleAs a Tour Conductor, you will lead small groups (maximum 12/16 travelers) on
1-2 week tours across the Mediterranean area.
Your Main ResponsibilitiesLead & InspireBe the leader of your group, providing clear and engaging information about each destination, sharing your passion for Mediterranean cultures, and creating joyful, memorable experiences for travelers.
Plan & PrepareBe well organized, know your daily itinerary in detail, and ensure smooth tour operations. Always be ready with a Plan B to adapt to unexpected situations. (The reservations are done by our Operations team of Gustoventura, so you won't have to book Hotels, transportation and accomodations yourself, we will give you all the info and ask for your cooperation in maintaning a good service from the customers. From time to time, with your approval, we will ask you to help with bookings on site).
Training & BriefingsParticipate in training sessions and pre-tour briefings to be fully prepared for each tour.
Support & CommunicationAssist travelers with their questions and needs, delivering excellent customer service-even in challenging situations.
Safety & QualityPrioritize traveler safety and ensure that our local partners meet our quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
Handle EmergenciesRespond calmly and effectively to unforeseen challenges, following established procedures.
What You BringWe're looking for someone with:
Passion & Cultural KnowledgeA strong interest in Mediterranean cultures, people, history, and daily life, with a solid understanding of local traditions and contemporary realities.
Language Skills- German: Advanced level (C1 or higher) - mandatory, as all tours are conducted in German
- English: good working knowledge
- Additional local languages (Italian, Spanish, Greek, Portuguese) are a plus
Experience & Locationnot only you are passionate about the country where you need to guide, but you also are knowledgable about its culture, history and traditions.
CertificationsYou have the necessary permissions and qualifications to work as a Tour Conductor and/or guide, including
First Aid certification, CPR, and Heimlich maneuver. (You can still apply if you don't have them yet and we show you how to get those certifications).
Personal QualitiesOrganized, reliable, motivated, and solution-oriented, with the ability to stay calm under pressure.
