Operations Engineer with German (Dialog Systems) (m/f/diverse)

Your tasks

• Developing automated system installations and configuration, based on a central configuration management system
• Developing and maintaining interfaces to several dozen other internal and external systems
• Monitoring of the production environment
• Supporting system development and deployments in test and production environments
• Conducting analysis and log research to identify and troubleshoot errors, requiring both process skill and a deep understanding of the technologies used.
• Communication and collaboration on operational solutions and improvements with teams based in Europe
• Assisting in defining operational best practices and ensuring compliance with quality assurance measures
• Analyzing problems and collaborating closely with other teams to find solutions and derive long term optimizations (In case of incidents or issues)
• Ensuring smooth deployments and highly efficient maintenance procedures.

Your profile

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines with Cloud Build.
• Knowledge of secure network architecture and design in both GCP and Commerzbank environments, including VPCs, Subnets, Firewalls, VPNs, and Load Balancing
• Ability to manage and operate Linux-based systems, including command line proficiency and system troubleshooting
• Understanding of core cloud computing concepts and services, specifically for GCP, including Virtual Machines (Compute Engine), Kubernetes (GKE), Cloud Functions, Cloud Run and logging in cloud environments.
• Proficiency in performing log analysis and error investigation using tools to diagnose issues.
• Skills in monitoring and logging cloud services, including Stackdriver (Logging, Monitoring, Trace, Error Reporting).
• Understanding of banking regulations and requirements that impact operational procedures and deployments.
• Experience with Kubernetes/OpenShift could be considered as an advantage
