This position reports to:
Procurement BP& Lead Buyer Germany& CE

In this role, you will have the opportunity to ensure the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the purchasing and logistics-related activities in the Procurement function to support the businesses. Each day, you will execute assigned activities as per ABB standard procedures. You will also showcase your expertise by delivering and participating in training programs as required to ensure compliance and to foster professional development.

The work model for the role is: hybrid. #LI-Hybrid

This role is contributing to the Process Automation, IA Procurement & Logistic and is based in Krakow.

You will be mainly accountable for:

• Managing the end-to-end PR to PO process, including tracking deliveries, confirming supplier terms, and ensuring smooth invoice processing.
• Overseeing daily cooperation with international suppliers to align procurement activities with business needs in terms of timelines, cost, and quality.
• Ensuring supplier orders comply with project and business requirements through effective use of ERP systems and standard operating procedures.
• Supporting sourcing strategy implementation in collaboration with the Sourcing team to improve supplier performance and commercial outcomes.
• Identifying and driving procurement process improvements to increase operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction.

Qualifications for the role:

• You are highly skilled in using tools such as Excel and SAP, leveraging them to streamline and optimize procurement processes in a dynamic, professional environment.
• You have 2+ years of experience in procurement or finance, ideally in a shared services setup, and a demonstrated ability to deliver effective and timely solutions.
• You are comfortable communicating in English (C1), with strong skills in both written and spoken communication, especially during phone conversations.
• German language skills (B2 or above) would be a strong asset in this role.
• You are passionate about customer service, and bring a proactive, flexible, and solution-focused mindset to every challenge.
• You thrive in a team-oriented environment and have strong interpersonal skills that foster cross-functional collaboration and trusted relationships.
• Experience with Ariba and exposure to international procurement processes would be considered a strong advantage.
