A day in your life at MKS:MKS Instruments is seeking a strong candidate with a broad level of knowledge and expertise in the SAP German Payroll platform. You will work directly with the German HR and Payroll teams to ensure SAP is running correctly and assist with implementing enhancements and regulatory changes. You will also assist with supporting the SAP ERP system used by the recently acquired Atotech company.
We are looking for an exceptional SAP German Payroll Senior Business Systems Analyst that can meet the following job expectations:
You will make an impact by: - Work with HR process owners and cross-functional teams in defining business requirements and project scope in line with system capabilities.
- Manage and provide application support to include functional configuration requirements, design, development, testing, conversion, migration, and maintenance of assigned tasks associated with SAP and other systems.
- Triaging, diagnosing, and resolving issues originating from end-users, business process events, and integration events.
- Ability to prioritize SAP issues and enhancements and provide timely follow-up and resolution, including escalating to third-party vendors.
- Documenting business requirements, decisions, business processes, and workflows in relevant documentation, training guides, test scenarios, and quick reference guides.
- Work directly with the business users, internal SAP and IT teams, and external vendors such as SDWorx for both support and project work.
- Adhere to change management process to satisfy the company's internal/external audit controls and compliance practices.
- Proactively monitor new features released by SAP and advocate for appropriate adoption plans.
- Assist with the planning of SAP global projects including defining the scope, goals, course of action, work needed, timeline and budget.
- Design, configure, test, deploy and maintain SAP functionality.
- Support the Workday HCM to SAP integration, which sends German employee data from Workday to SAP for payroll purposes.
- Ensure timely patches/updates of SAP HR systems.
- Support enhancements, change controls, auditing, and data quality.
- Assist with troubleshooting and coordinating resolution of issues with internal SAP teams, HR/Payroll team and external vendors.
Skills You Bring:- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science and or Information Systems, or equivalent.
- A minimum of 6-8 years of experience supporting SAP HR, in particular German payroll along with time management.
- Experience with SAP HR Mini Master and its role and integration aspects in SAP HR and SAP ERP systems.
- Experience with integrations between Workday and SAP HR/ERP systems.
- Learning agility - Ability to quickly assimilate to new projects or information and stay organized throughout multiple priorities.
- Effective presentation skills - Able to write-up technical matters clearly and verbally restate complex issues in an effective manner for the audience.
- Trusted team player - Be someone who can work well throughout the department and across multiple levels in the organization.
- Demonstrates priority setting, business acumen, project planning and composure under pressure.
- Expert level knowledge and experience configuring SAP, to include business processes, reporting and security settings.
- Deep interest in SAP, researching its current and future functionality and how to apply it to improve processes and the employee experience.
- Experience complying with a release management process.
- Excellent English communication skills
- Flexibility to attend periodic meetings in the morning or evening to support colleagues and projects in different time zones.
- Ability to work onsite at an MKS facility.
- Fluent written and spoken English skills. German language skills are a plus.
- SAP HR or payroll certifications are a plus.
- An interest in learning how to support Workday HCM is a plus.
