About the Senior Business Development Representative MarketStar is looking for a seasoned sales professional to represent our client as they continue their successful expansion into the enterprise corporate space. This is an exceptional opportunity to be a strategic leader on a pivotal team at the forefront of the latest technology and work with one of the top three companies in the world.
Your responsibility will be to generate and qualify sales-qualified opportunities within complex enterprise and corporate accounts. You will be a key contributor to MarketStar's mission by developing and executing strategic outreach plans and acting as a subject matter expert on how our client's solutions can transform business operations. You will cover the DACH Enterprise and Corporate markets, but may also provide mentorship and strategic support across other regions.
Location: Hybrid, Leopardstown, Dublin 18 (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday in office)
What Will You Do? - Develop and execute comprehensive strategies to proactively seek and close new business opportunities in the enterprise market.
- Lead the effort to contact potential C-level and senior-level clients through strategic cold calls and emails.
- Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities within specific target industries, verticals, and personas.
- Serve as a subject matter expert, presenting compelling product value propositions and running advanced discovery calls.
- Identify complex client needs and collaborate with internal and client teams to propose customized, enterprise-level solutions.
- Cultivate and manage a robust sales pipeline, setting up meetings or calls for the enterprise sales team.
- Maintain a track record of consistently exceeding daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs and sales goals.
- Champion our success stories and share them with targeted enterprise companies in specific industries and territories.
- Coaching & Mentoring: Act as a peer mentor and coach for junior BDRs, sharing best practices, conducting role-playing exercises, and assisting with complex account strategies to help the team meet and exceed targets.
- Taking Initiative: Proactively identify and propose improvements to our sales processes, tools, and methodologies. Take ownership of challenging accounts and develop innovative solutions to overcome obstacles and drive new business.
- Reporting & Analysis: Regularly analyze performance data to identify trends, forecast results, and provide actionable insights to sales leadership. Prepare detailed reports on pipeline health, campaign effectiveness, and key metrics.
What Will You Need to Succeed? - Fluent in German and English (speak, read, and write).
- 3-5+ years of proven, high-performance experience in a B2B business development or sales role, preferably within SaaS.
- A track record of consistently achieving and exceeding sales quotas.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with C-level executives.
- Strong leadership and mentorship aptitude, with a passion for developing others.
- In-depth knowledge of CRM systems like Salesforce, and sales engagement platforms like SalesLoft or Outreach.io.
- Highly tech-savvy with a passion for technology and the ability to learn, comprehend, and explain complex solutions.
- Experience with self-prospecting, building your own pipeline from scratch, and managing a full sales cycle up to the point of a qualified meeting.
- Expertise in consultative, solution-oriented selling and a passion for creating exceptional customer experiences.
- Coaching & Mentoring Skills: Proven ability to mentor and develop junior team members.
- Initiative: A demonstrated history of taking initiative to improve processes or achieve goals beyond standard expectations.
- Data Analysis: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and use it to inform strategic decisions. Proficiency in creating and presenting detailed reports.

The pay for this position is base salary per annum of €45,000 with an additional variable bonus component of €20,000. There are several factors to consider including but not limited to, the role's responsibilities, experience, location, education/training, internal equity, and key skills.
