Senior Internal Auditor with German

The OpportunityThis role is responsible for leading and executing internal audits for Worldline's German-regulated entities while being based in Poland. The Senior Internal Auditor will focus on financial services and payments operations, ensuring compliance with German laws and BaFin expectations including ZAG(Payment Services Supervision Act), ZAG-MaRisk (ZAG-Minimum Requirements for Risk Management).
Day-to-Day Responsibilities- Plan, execute, and document risk-based internal audits for German legal entities and licensed payment institutions.
- Assess design and effectiveness of internal controls
- Ensure all audits follow IIA Standards, internal methodologies, and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluate compliance with German regulatory requirements.
- Support regulatory inspections and external audits by preparing accurate audit findings and documentation.
- Prepare high-quality audit reports, clearly highlighting findings, risks, and actionable remediation steps.
- Follow up on remediation actions and ensure timely closure of identified issues.
- Contribute to annual audit risk assessment and planning specifically for the German entity portfolio.
Who Are We Looking ForWe look for big thinkers. People who can drive positive change, step up and show what's next - people with passion, can-do attitude and a hunger to learn and grow. In practice this means:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Law, or related fields
- Minimum 5 years of internal audit experience (preferably in Banking, Payments, or Financial Services)
- Previous experience of working in international, matrix organizations
- Fluent German and English
- Ability to travel occasionally to Germany for onsite audits
- Experience in one or more of the following processes: Risk Management, Counterparty Risk, OpRisk, Compliance, Data Protection, Financial Controlling, Finance and Accounting, Treasury
- Professional certifications in CIA, CISA, CRMA, Wirtschaftsprüfer module would be an advantage
