Job summary:

An opportunity has arisen to join the global Rolls-Royce Tax Team in Poland as a VAT Expert. You will be a core member of a small team responsible for providing VAT compliance services and advice to a number of Rolls-Royce companies in multiple tax jurisdictions.

What you will be doing:

• You will be responsible for running and analysing SAP reports to enable the preparation, review, and submission of multiple VAT returns to tight deadlines.
• You will need to work with several external service providers and members of the Global tax team.
• You will be involved in managing the reclaims of overseas VAT on purchases and employee expenses, which involves closely working with an external service provider.
• You will be reviewing and recommending improvements to the quality of transactional data feeding from SAP. You will understand the risks and controls in the preparation of returns, and you will ensure the accuracy of data and information in the VAT reporting.
• You will support wider projects and initiatives as required by the Head of Tax and Customs.

Position requirements:

• You must have 4+ years of experience and solid knowledge (conceptionally and operationally) of VAT in Europe and have a good understanding of the transactional accounting processes within a VAT registered corporation.
• Good Excel and analytical skills are essential.
• SAP experience is an advantage as is competency with IT software packages.
• You will need to take ownership of your work and display a 'can-do' attitude
• You will need to be well organised and be able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English language is essential as you will be dealing with a number of different stakeholders both internal and external to Rolls-Royce

Desirable Skills:

• German B2 level - strongly preferred
