Your day to day:The ITAM Specialist, controls, and protects the organization's IT assets (i.e., hardware) throughout their life cycle, from acquisition through final disposition. In addition, the IT Asset Management specialist serves as IT hardware asset management subject matter expert.
Working with other ITAM team members, the role will ensure that Vodafone has the proper IT governance in place to mitigate and remove risk to the Organisation. The role should strive to achieve and maintain a Centre of Excellence for ITAM in Vodafone and be recognised as such both within Vodafone and the wider ITAM Community.
With these activities you will have a great impact on our business: - Manage IT hardware asset portfolio with respect to risk, cost control, governance, compliance, and performance objectives
- Serve as IT hardware asset management subject matter expert.
- Manage acquisition, deployment, utilization, tracking, security, and final disposition of IT assets
- Process Documentation - including developing new processes and managing change
- Reporting on monthly activities, trends and changes
- SLA and KPI adherence - ensuring both team and contracted third parties are accountable for performance, and measures are regularly reported
- Coordinate Governance, Processes, and Reporting
With these skills you are a great candidate:• Hands on experience of using of ITAM toolsets, preferably SNOW Software, BMC Spider and/or SaaS Cloud Portals.
• +2 years' work experience on a ITIL organization, on an IT Asset Management area
• Understanding of ITIL framework & standards in organizations;
• Understanding and knowledge of Virtualization and Cloud Infrastructure technologies and associated license models
• Understanding of Microsoft Active Directory is very important.
• Strong vendor management and negotiation skills
• Good knowledge of Asset Lifecycle Processes (Acquire, Deploy, Manage, Retire, Plan), ITAM analysis and technical support for procurement decisions of new licenses/software/hardware and renewals of licensing/warranty requirements.
• Understanding of ISO 9001 a plus
• Language Skills: German (C1), English (C1)
