The role
Betsson's marketing engine runs on email, and you're the person who makes it work properly. As our CRM Communications Customisation Manager, you sit at the intersection of code and campaign, building the templates, automations, and scalable systems that let our marketing teams move fast without breaking things.
You'll be the internal expert others come to when something needs to be built properly, not just quickly. That means training coordinators, pushing innovation in email and landing page design, and owning the technical backbone of the email channel across a global iGaming brand.
This role is based fully on-site in Malta for the first six months, after which a hybrid working model becomes available. Relocation to Malta is required.
If you like solving real problems, hate sloppy workarounds, and want to see your work reach millions of inboxes, this is the role.
What you'll own
- Build and maintain scalable, modular email and landing page templates inside the ESP
- Be the go-to for advanced coding: HTML, CSS, AMPScript, and integrations using APIs and JSON
- Train and upskill coordinators so they can customize and optimize independently
- Drive improvements in deliverability, conversion, and template performance
- Collaborate with design and campaign teams to produce responsive, on-brand communications
- Implement new features and automate email operations to support the company's growth
- Troubleshoot issues across email and landing pages, document changes, and keep systems clean
What you bring
- 2 to 3 years in a similar email marketing or CRM technical role
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Xtremepush, or WordPress
- Solid HTML and CSS skills; MJML is a bonus
- Knowledge of AMPScript; SSJS, JavaScript, Liquid, or Handlebars is a plus
- Good working understanding of APIs and JSON
- A bachelor's degree in Marketing, IT, or a related field
- Clear communicator who can explain technical concepts to non-technical colleagues
