Financial Accountant with German

As a member of the Siemens Energy Accounting team, you will ensure that IFRS and Austrian accounting standards are adhered to. You will execute accounting tasks and controls, review and analyze financial figures and discuss accounting-related topics with peers and colleagues from the business areas. Additionally, you will play a key role in the SAP S/4HANA implementation, being involved in mapping accounting processes and testing in the new system. Daily exchanges with the Accounting teams based in Vienna and Bucharest, as well as with individuals from different countries, through email or live meetings, are common day-to-day activities.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Participating in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly closings according to IFRS and Austrian GAAP and supporting the external audit process
• Responsibility for closing and day-to-day activities related to general ledger, provisions, accounts payable and accounts receivable, among other topics
• Performing reconciliations and regular critical reviews of Balance Sheet and P&L
• Providing support on internal control activities
• Participating in the preparation of statutory financial statements
• Carrying out ad hoc analyses and process alignments
• Supporting activities during the transition to SAP S/4HANA
• Participating in international projects and supporting the continuous process optimization/digitalization to build the accounting of tomorrow

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required and ideally 3+ years of experience in finance/accounting.
• Knowledge of IFRS
• Strong Microsoft Office experience (Excel); familiarity with SAP is an important advantage
• Good communication skills in English and German with the ability to navigate confidently in an international environment.
• A team player with diligence, proactivity and a strong sense of ownership.
