What success looks like in this role: We're looking for a
German-speaking HR Business Partner to join our international HR team and support our operations across various German speaking countries. In this role, you'll act as a trusted advisor to business leaders, helping shape people strategies that align with our global goals while reflecting local needs. This is your opportunity to work on diverse HR topics-from employee relations to leadership development-while building strong partnerships across the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Serve as the HR Business Partner for the DACH region, offering expert guidance on a wide range of HR-related topics and challenges.
- Build strong working relationships with countries, regional, and corporate leaders to develop and implement local HR strategies that support global business objectives.
- Advise managers on building effective teams and managing complex HR matters.
- Support talent development, compensation, leadership training, and performance management initiatives.
- Act as the primary HR point of contact for your stakeholders, collaborating closely with HR Centers of Excellence (Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Compensation & Benefits, etc.).
- Ensure compliance with company policies and local labor laws; conduct investigations and recommend appropriate follow-up actions as needed.
- Represent Unisys in negotiations with employee representatives and works councils, providing expert advice based on the legal landscape in each country (especially Germany and Austria).
- Play a key role in M&A activities, including HR due diligence and post-merger employee integration.
You will be successful in this role if you have:- Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Several years of experience in an HR Generalist or HR Business Partner role.
- Proven experience working with employee representatives and negotiating works council agreements (preferably in Germany and Austria).
- Strong knowledge of labor law, ideally focused on the DACH region.
- Skilled in coaching leaders and driving leadership development.
- Highly self-motivated with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Fluent in German and English, both written and spoken.
