About the role:

The HR Business Partner plays a key role in aligning people strategy with business objectives across the United Kingdom, Nordics and Germany. The role holder will build deep and trusting relationships with senior business stakeholders to be seen as a trusted advisor and implement people strategy across the markets, feeding back into the HR department on opportunities for improvement and evolving business needs.

Advise and guide managers and leaders to have the full range of conversations with their employees and take appropriate ownership for delivering on business expectations.

Understands the talent profile of the business they support and the workforce management required to be successful in the long term.

Advocate of the HR operating model and expert in navigating HR process and procedure.

Guardian of employee experience.

Responsible for ensuring HR compliance to local legislation, policy and procedure.

In this role you will:
  • Consults with line management, providing HR guidance when appropriate. Conducts regular meetings with respective business units
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance Partners with the legal department as needed/required
  • Ensure HRGBS receives all necessary information related to the respective business units (changes in labor law, new HR requirements ect.)
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions). Gather information and support from Talent Develop
  • Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation
  • Consults with internal legal/counsel as appropriate on personnel matters
  • Develops (with TA function) contract terms for new hires, promotions and transfers
  • Align with company's Talent & Reward policy and procedures
  • Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning
  • Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs
  • Participates in evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success. Follows up to ensure training objectives are met
  • Defines and manages cost efficiency initiatives in HR-related areas as well as budgets
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR team to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Ensures human resources services and programs are in line with management philosophy, addresses employee needs and meets regulatory and budget constraints
  • Interacts with Local/Int. Dept.'s, members, customers, vendors. Interacts with all levels throughout the organization both on local and regional level
  • Interacts with local and international labor authorities as required
  • Assist management implementing HR initiatives to improve employee working quality, productivity, motivation, relations and retention
  • Performs other related duties as assigned


Our requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience resolving complex employee relations issues
  • College or University degree
  • HR Certification preferred
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, organizational diagnosis, employee and union relations, diversity, performance management, and federal and state respective employment laws
  • Fluent in English, and German
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Analytical skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the administrative practices related to those factors
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Self-disciplined and able to work in autonomy on assigned project
  • Ability to interact effectively with internal and external counterparts with sensitivity to cultural diversity
