Job Overview
As part of our expansion plans we are looking for a German-speaking Partnerships Manager to spearhead our growth in Europe. Genie Shopping is already one of the fastest growing CSS publishers in the UK and we are now looking to expand our activity in Europe.
This role's primary purpose is to execute the new business element of our Partnerships strategy by selling our CSS CPA/affiliate service to large EU e-commerce clients, crucial for growing our client base and achieving our new business growth targets. As part of the Partnerships team, which encompasses all customer-facing services, you will work collaboratively to drive the overall goal of expanding our client portfolio.
Genie Shopping has a distributed working model which allows our team to work from home or the office but with a requirement for monthly trips to the Cambridge co-working space and occasional travel for team, client & partner meetings. This is a UK-based role, due to the nature of it some international travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities
New Business & Sales:
- Execute the new business strategy, selling our CSS CPA/affiliate services to prospective clients to meet growth targets.
- Manage the sales pipeline process through Salesforce with attention to detail.
- Generate new leads and manage opportunities along the pipeline, demonstrating a tenacious and target-driven attitude.
- Proactively increase the sales pipeline by sourcing new leads, and leveraging your intelligence, imagination, and inquisitiveness.
- Advise potential clients on technical implementation, strategic approach, and growth opportunities with our services.
- Manage and prioritise workload to achieve sales targets and activity-based KPIs, showcasing a motivated, driven, and focused approach.
- Work with the Head of Partnerships to identify priority new client segments.
- Leverage team expertise in Google Shopping CSS services to win new clients, demonstrating excellent business acumen.
Marketing and Promotions:
- Contribute to the sales team marketing program by attending events and suggesting improvements to sales materials.
- Collaborate with the Account Management team to utilise benchmarking data and case studies to enhance our offering.
- Help plan and organise industry events to diversify the sales pipeline.
- Actively promote and be an excellent ambassador for Genie Shopping at industry events, showing passion and enthusiasm.
Reporting:
- Proactively and accurately report on activities in standups, weekly team meetings, and manager 121s.
- Effectively manage upward communications about plans and activities.
- Provide detailed and insightful reporting, ensuring accuracy and thoroughness.
Other:
- Actively contribute to team strategy, focusing on process efficiency to drive better business decisions.
- Create and document new business processes as required.
- Demonstrate planning, teamwork, and adaptability to achieve business goals.
Skills & Experience
Experience
- Proven experience in business development or sales in Paid Media (PPC) or Affiliate marketing.
- Strong knowledge of the performance marketing industry, specifically Affiliate & PPC channels.
- Demonstrable knowledge of the Performance Marketing industry in Germany.
- Experience managing client relations to meet expectations, retain and grow business, showing a customer-focused approach.
- Familiarity with affiliate marketing tools, systems, and commercials.
- Established contacts/networks in online retail, affiliate, or PPC marketing. (Desirable)
Skills
- Fluent in German.
- Strong commercial negotiation skills and business acumen.
- Proficient in the use of CRM systems and confident in pipeline management.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient at managing customer satisfaction and delivering high-quality service.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
