A Day in Your Life at MKS: As a Payroll Specialist at MKS Inc., you will partner closely with Internal HR and Finance teams to execute accurate and compliant end-to-end German payroll processing for our employees in Germany. In this role, you will report to the Payroll Manager for Germany.
You Will Make an Impact By: - End-to-end processing of German payroll in SAP HCM on a monthly basis, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Administration of payroll-related processes including salaries, bonuses, allowances, time management, hires, and terminations
- Ensuring compliance with German labor law, tax regulations, and social security requirements as well as company agreements
- Acting as a point of contact for employee payroll inquiries related to German payroll topics
- Collaboration with HR, Finance, Controlling, and German authorities
- Preparation and review of payroll reports, reconciliations, and audits
- Support of payroll-related projects, process improvements, and system optimizations
- Maintenance of employee master data in payroll and HR systems
Skills You Bring: - Ideally a bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Preferably 3+ years of hands-on experience in German payroll processing
- Solid knowledge of German payroll legislation, tax, and social security regulations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and German
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in an international environment
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality
- Hands-on mentality and willingness to learn and grow
Preferred Skills:- Experience with SAP HCM and Workday is advantageous
- Ability to work well in a team, with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Service-oriented mindset combined with very good organizational and time-management skills
