General information

In our HR IT Solutions area, the Payroll and Time Solutions Team plays an important role in providing IT tools and solutions that support effective payroll processing and time management across our HR department globally.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Managing and processing payroll operations in compliance with German regulations and standards as well as German general/works council agreements
• Ensuring accurate calculation and timely payment of salaries, taxes, and social contributions
• Providing expert guidance on German payroll matters to clients and internal teams
• Keeping abreast of changes in payroll legislation and ensuring system compliance
• Collaborating with the HR Systems team and the business to optimize payroll systems and processes
• Managing projects for German Payroll by taking responsibility for planning, execution, and completion within scope, schedule, and budget
• Driving project milestones, coordinating resources, and overseeing project deliverables
• Assisting in projects and rollouts as an IT Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the German Payroll and supporting the business in defining requirements

Your Qualifications

• Completed studies in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or comparable qualifications with corresponding practical experience
• Fluency in both English and German, with a minimum of B2 level proficiency
• Several years of experience in SAP HCM Payroll is considered an asset
• Experience with data SAP Time Management and SAP SuccessFactors Compensation is advantageous
• Programming skills in ABAP/ABAP OO are a plus
• Experience with Agile development methodologies and tools, such as Scrum, Kanban, JIRA is beneficial
• Several years of experience in managing payroll processes within Germany
• Strong knowledge of German labor laws, tax regulations, and social security systems
• Capability to read and understand German Law texts and work council agreements which are only available in German language
• Several years of experience in implementation of digitization projects
• Good understanding of enterprise integration, and the specific challenges related to interacting with complex ERP environments is very beneficial
