Telephone Research Assistant - German Speaker

Job Description

Strategic Research & Insight conduct quantitative and qualitative research for clients in the private and public sector across Wales and the UK. Strategic Research & Insight are looking for a fluent, native German speaker to carry out research calls to tourism operators in Germany. The aim of the project is to understand tourism trends of German tour operators coming to the UK.

You will need to read confidently from a questionnaire on screen and record accurate responses in Snap Survey software and Microsoft Access databases.

This role is based within Cardiff between 26/06/2026 and 26/07/2026. The shift pattern is flexible between Monday to Friday. Shift times would typically be from 09:00 - 16:30.

Experience of conducting B2B calls would be preferred but not essential.

Person Specification

Essential Requirements:

• German speaking is vital for this role
• Excellent telephone manner
• A confident user of IT
• The ability to speak confidently to unknown respondents on a business to business and/ or business to consumer basis.
• Happy to make cold calls/ can take a refusal with a smile.
• The ability to be flexible with hours.
• Reliable person with a can do attitude
• The ability to be flexible and adapt to changes according to business needs, this is important as we often have several projects running simultaneously and research assistants may be briefed to more than one.
• Motivation, focus, consistency and time management skills.
