German speaking Anti-Money Laundering Compliance Officer

The House of Mercier is searching for a dedicated German Speaking Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Compliance Officer to join our esteemed compliance department. In this vital role, you will ensure that our organization adheres to stringent AML regulations and practices. Your fluency in German will enable you to effectively engage with clients and regulatory bodies, as you conduct thorough investigations into suspicious transactions and activities.

As an AML Compliance Officer, you will be responsible for analyzing data, preparing compliance reports, and developing strategies to mitigate risks associated with money laundering. Your expertise will contribute to fostering a robust compliance culture within the organization and ensuring that our financial operations remain transparent and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed investigations into suspicious activities, documenting findings and preparing reports for compliance management.
• Ensure compliance with AML laws, regulations, and internal policies while monitoring regulatory changes.
• Deliver training sessions and create educational materials on AML compliance for staff.
• Collaborate with various departments to promote adherence to AML initiatives throughout the organization.
• Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities as required.
• Utilize analytical tools to monitor transactions and identify potential money laundering activities.

Requirements

• Fluency in German and English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in finance, law, business administration, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in AML compliance or a related field.
• Strong understanding of AML legislation, regulations, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficient analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
• Experience with compliance software and data analysis tools.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
