Mission

Description of the Business Line or Department Client On-boarding Responsibilities include supporting the business and liaising with all involved stakeholders, to coordinate new On-boarding / Off-boarding requests and perform core OBU production tasks in line with Societe Generale’s business policy, as well as regulations of the financial industry. There are two dedicated teams within OPER/CLM/KYC/NBO in charge of Societe Generale’s client requests (Principal) and Societe Generale Newedge UK’s client requests (Agency). Summary of the key purposes of the role • The Onboarding officer is responsible of the day-to-day management of the onboarding process for Principal business on Key Asset Managers. • He/she is responsible and focussed on Asset Managers’s Account Fast On Boarding Initiative. Summary of responsibilities The On Boarding officer (OBRO) will behave on behalf of the SALES as follows: • Handle the client requests • Liaise directly with key Asset Manager contacts to obtain required information/documentation (*) where needed • Launch On Boarding Request initiation in SG systems as soon as a client requests the on-boarding • Provide client visibility on the on boarding status and expected deadlines • Proactively monitor the KYC process from start-to-finish, identify and resolve issues raised • Coordinate the Legal or Credit Processes for LTA On Boardings • Coordinate proactively in or out of OPER (including SALES, PCRU, MO, BO...) Expert OB team will: • Escalate to senior members, Experts & SALES any blocking point or issues in relation to the client (difficulty to get prospectus, NAV, ...) - with a clear status of where we stand (actions already taken and details of why / where it blocks) • Immediately put Sales in the loop in case any proactively action is required, or if client expected on boarding duration won’t be met • Regularly share this document as well as any organizational change in the Expert On-Boarding team on the « Mark Up » SharePoint Level of Autonomy and Authority • Medium to High • Reports directly to the Head of UK Onboarding core production team

Profile

Work Experience • Prior experience in Onboarding or related processes in a broker or investment bank environment –good knowledge of at least one of the following is necessary: product and service offering, customer base, regulatory environment • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and work within tight and changeable timeframes • Proven track record in delivering strong level of client service from start through to completion of a client onboarding • Ability to build and cultivate good working relationships with Business Lines and Support Areas • Confident, driven, self-starter with an ability to work independently • Strong customer focus and relationship management skills • Strong analytical skills: ability to follow through on all aspects of complicated workflows, excellent attention to detail • Effective problem-solver: ability to listen to client and stakeholder requirements, anticipate, eliminate, mitigate, escalate issues as appropriate • Excellent communication skills: ability to communicate clearly and effectively to senior management, ability to present clear and concise solutions • Ability to act with urgency using powers of persuasion and good judgment to get things done • Ability to build, cultivate, and maintain good working relationships with Business Lines, Support and Control areas Languages • English Fluent • Second language would be a plus ( French, German, … )
