As a Holiday Extras Travel Consultant you'll be responsible for really getting to know your customers and our travel agency partners using your rapport building skills to tailor your service to complete their booking either on the phone or by email, turning their travel dreams into a reality.

By joining our team you'll:
  • Have experience of working in a sales and service-oriented environment, are collaborative, flexible and have excellent communication skills.
  • Speak and write German and English fluently
  • Experience working in a fast paced environment and a good level of computer literacy.
  • Reliability and a self-reliant way of working are among your strengths.
  • That you are an effective communicator with a warm, friendly, inviting and engaging tone of voice, with the ability to adapt and tailor your approach to each customer.
  • Use your inquisitive nature and how this has helped you deliver exceptional service in the past.
  • Use a flexible approach with the ability to adapt to different products based on business needs.
  • Ideally, you have previous knowledge of travel or tourism
  • Further foreign language skills are an advantage
  • Learn and use cutting edge tech, including your own Apple Mac laptop from day 1, as well as access to the Google Workspace suite and other programs. (Don't worry if you've not used these before - we'll show you how.)

Hours

We're looking for super flexible full-time people who can work across our opening hours.

You will need to be fully flexible across our opening hours of Monday - Friday 8am until 6pm and Saturdays 8am until 2pm

How we hire for this role

We know your time is precious, so we keep our application and interview process as quick and easy as possible, being open with what to expect before and at each stage.

After submitting your application, if we believe you might be a match, you'll enter our hiring process as follows:
  • Initial telephone call with our recruitment team
  • You will then be invited to an interview with the manager of our German Contact Centre team. This normally takes around an hour and will be held online. It's a great opportunity to find out about the role and for us to learn more about your skills and experience and what you can expect working with us.
