We're looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Analyst to join our energetic team in Rotterdam. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multicultural environment and is passionate about accounting excellence and compliance.
This position guarantees the correctness of the journal entries and accounts under his/her responsibility according to the applicable GAAP`s, the compliance with the applicable Internal and SOX controls comprising the entities in Europe and Asia.
Responsibilities:
Ensure:
- The timely monthly closing, in coordination with Brazil Shared Service.
- The correctness amount of the accounts defined by the Leader.
- The correctness of the Manual Journal Entries. • The compliance with the memoranduns concerning relevant transacitions.
- The compliance with the applicable internacional and local GAAP`s.
- The compliance with the applicable Internal and SOX controls.
- High level of communication with internal and external auditors and Brazil Shared Service.
- Monitoring the booking of relevant transactions, according to defined in the applicable memorandum
- Monitoring the trial balance to detect not expected movement, according to defined by the leader.
- The consistence of the Reporting Package in relation to the local trial balance.
- Delivery of the information required by the external auditors (PBC) and internal areas.
- Preparation of the footnotes for the annual report.
Requirements:
- Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent
- Several years of relevant work experience, ideally in an international manufacturing company
- Fluency in German and English, written and orally. Any other European language is a plus
- Previous experience with SAP (preferred) or another ERP system
- Knowledge of basic accounting and tax regulations
- Very good MS Office knowledge
- Process-oriented
- Independent, accurate and trustful way of working
- Excellent communication skills
