The AP Accountant with German will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and travel & expense reports. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of AP processes, effective organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. This position reports directly to the Accounting Team Leader and collaborates with various departments to support the company's financial operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Process vendor invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and compliance with company policies.
• Perform three-way matching of purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare, verify, and process payment runs on a weekly or as-needed basis.
• Reconcile vendor statements, research, and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
• Assist with month-end closing activities, including AP sub-ledger reconciliations.
• Review employee expense reports for accuracy and compliance with company policies and process reimbursements accordingly.
• Communicate effectively with vendors and internal departments to address inquiries and resolve payment issues.
• Assist with developing, implementing, and maintaining AP policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Conduct regular AP aging analysis, debit balances and GRNI cleansing.
• Assist with internal and external audits by providing documentation, reports, and supporting schedules related to AP activities.
• Contribute to process improvements and help implement best practices within the AP function.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3-4 years of experience in accounts payable in SSC/BPO environment.
• Fluency English and German (at least B2 lvl)
• Solid knowledge of AP principles, accounting standards, and relevant regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software (S4/Hana) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Experience with automated AP workflows
• Excellent methodical, problem-solving, and organizational skills with keen attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, team members, and management.
