WHAT OUR TEAM DOES
The production team within Pottermore is focused on the creation of brand new, and often large-scale audio Harry Potter projects. They work across ground-breaking productions including the full-cast editions, plus other creative digital projects rooted in the franchise. This team is involved with all stages of production including development, casting, scripting, production and post-production and they work closely with external production partners and third-party agencies.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The Audio Production Manager (DE) will work closely with the Head of Audio Development and the wider project team in the creation of a major new German language project. They will be required to communicate with a wide range of internal teams as well as maintain close contact with our external production partner who we are working with on all aspects of the production. They will also be working alongside third-party agencies in Germany.
They will be expected to use their audio skills and German language expertise to support the production including attending pre-production meetings and creative briefings, assisting with casting questions, managing script and supporting materials and QA process. Additionally, they will be giving guidance on the creation of scripted and non-scripted performance guidelines and fielding relevant pronunciation, canon and IP questions on the ground (and via chat link) working closely with the global Harry Potter brand and franchise team in the UK.

Ad hoc support to the Head of Audio Development and the wider production team as necessary.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES
The Audio Production Manager (DE) will support the production team in:
- Providing hands-on creative production management throughout project lifecycle:
- Being point of contact for the pre-production & script QA process alongside our production partner
- Providing direction and feedback on canon questions for scripting and performance guidelines (working with the wider production team and the HP brand and franchise team)
- Providing direction on pronunciation and performance in studio recordings in Germany.
- Onboarding teams/team members at our production partners and ensuring they understand our processes and translations
- Overseeing and gaining franchise team approval for casting choices.
- Providing feedback and answering questions that come in from our production partner during pre-production, production and studio recording
- Assisting in the refinement of processes, including to produce scripts and supporting materials
- Providing creative reviews of audio as necessary
Ad hoc support to the Head of Audio Development and the wider production team as necessary.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Experience, Technical Knowledge and Skills
- 5+ years experience of all elements of the audio production process from pre to post-production, working across multiple genres and titles
- Fluent in German
- Experience working as part of complex audio production team
- Experience of working with actors and the casting process, with the ability to apply these skills to working in overseas market you may be unfamiliar with
- Audio project management and stakeholder management experience
- Adaptable approach with an ability to cope with change
- Ability to prioritise your workload across multiple workstreams and deliver against tight deadlines
- Collaborative, organised with rigorous attention to detail
- Strong team-working skills and the ability to maintain good working relationships with internal and external teams
- Knowledge and understanding of the Harry Potter stories preferred
