About the Role:

At Notion, we are committed to fostering professional excellence and long-term career development. As a Business Development Leader in EMEA, you will be instrumental in driving impactful results across our BDR function by building and coaching high-performing teams focused on performance optimisation and professional advancement. This position requires a strategic leader with expertise in professional development, revenue generation, and cultivating an environment of inclusivity and innovation. Experience optimising and scaling a demand generation inbound function along with outbound pipe generation a plus.

Working in lockstep with Marketing, Sales, and cross-functional stakeholders, you will implement data-driven and AI empowered strategies to enhance Notion's inbound and outbound functions, optimise conversion metrics, and streamline sales processes. This position presents an opportunity to create substantial impact on both organisational success and your professional advancement. This role can be based in Dublin. We work from our offices on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays (our Anchor Days) because we do our best thinking and building together in person. We're looking for someone who's excited to work alongside the team during those days.

What You'll Achieve:

• Lead and Inspire: Build and coach a high-performing DACH BDR team to operate as forward-deployed GTM partners, owning territory planning, daily execution, and career development in a culture of inclusion and high standards.
• Pipeline Creation: Drive net-new pipeline through proactive outbound, targeted campaigns and fast response times to enquiries, partnering tightly with SCs and Marketing to focus the team on ICP-aligned accounts and priority initiatives.
• Qualification Excellence: Raise the bar on discovery and qualification so the team consistently delivers sales-ready opportunities-well-scoped, with clear use cases, stakeholders, and next steps that are ready to build.
• Data-Led Operating Rhythm: Establish a metrics-driven cadence (activity - conversion - pipeline - revenue impact) to identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency, and consistently hit SLAs and KPIs.
• AI-Enabled Productivity: Embed AI and automation into workflows (research, personalisation, call/notes, routing, follow-up) to increase rep capacity and improve quality without sacrificing rigor.
• Cross-Functional Alignment: Work in lockstep with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, and Enablement to evolve messaging, plays, and processes to ensure consistent execution across the region.
• Talent Development & Performance Management: Hire, onboard, and ramp top talent; set clear expectations; deliver timely coaching and feedback; and manage performance to build a durable, promotable bench of Notions' future SCs.

Skills You'll Need to Bring:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to draw conclusions, optimise team performance, and drive continuous improvement.
• People-Centric Leader: A natural mentor with a proven track record of coaching, developing, and uplifting sales professionals in a supportive and inclusive manner.
• Proven Track Record: Extensive experience in SaaS sales including outbound prospecting, closing new business and demonstrating an ability to consistently achieve goals in a highly competitive environment.
• Adaptable and Resilient: Thrives in fast-paced environments, managing change with grace and a solution-focused mindset.
• Passionate about sales, technology and AI we seek leaders who love what they do and inspire their teams.
• Energetic, upbeat, entrepreneurial, and team-oriented.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluent in German
