Business Development Representative with German

Xometry is seeking a motivated and proactive Business Development Representative to strengthen our Sales Team and support the continued growth of our international business. In this role, you will develop new business opportunities, manage customer relationships within an assigned region, and build long-term partnerships with small and medium-sized businesses across industries such as mechanical engineering, robotics, infrastructure, furniture manufacturing, and more.

You will take ownership of both outbound sales activities and inbound leads, guide customers through the Xometry platform and ordering process, and maintain a healthy sales pipeline. This position is ideal for someone who combines strong communication skills with a commercial mindset, customer focus, and the ambition to grow in a fast-paced international environment.

How You'll Contribute:

• Business Development and Pipeline Growth:
  
  • Develop and expand the customer base through proactive outbound sales activities and effective inbound lead management
  • Identify and unlock new business opportunities across both acquired and assigned customer accounts
  • Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to support the company's growth
  • Achieve individual sales targets, established sales plans, and performance KPIs
• Customer Relationship Management:
  
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with small and medium-sized businesses across various industries
  • Represent Xometry professionally in all customer interactions
  • Maintain regular communication with customers through calls, emails, online meetings, and messaging platforms
  • Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction through responsive and customer-oriented support
  • Identify upselling and account development opportunities within the existing customer base
• Customer Support and Account Development:
  
  • Handle incoming customer requests promptly and professionally
  • Support customers with account usage, request submissions, and order placement
  • Guide customers through Xometry's platform, products, and services
  • Follow up on open opportunities and support customers throughout the sales process
• CRM and Sales Operations:
  
  • Maintain accurate, complete, and high-quality customer and sales data in Salesforce
  • Document customer interactions, opportunities, and follow-up activities consistently
  • Monitor customer payments and follow up when necessary
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth customer experience and timely resolution of issues

What You'll Bring to Xometry:

• Initial professional experience in sales, business development, customer success, or account management
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and deliver results
• Commercial mindset and motivation to achieve individual sales goals and KPIs
• Fluent English for daily customer communication and international collaboration
• German language skills would be a strong advantage
• Ability to negotiate and communicate professionally with customers from different countries and cultural backgrounds
• Technical mindset and the ability to quickly understand product and manufacturing specifics
• High level of responsibility, flexibility, determination, and personal ownership
• Strong social intelligence, empathy, and a customer-oriented communication style
• Experience working with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce, would be an advantage
• International experience, including experience living or working abroad, would be an advantage
• Current residence in one of the following hiring locations:
