We are now looking for a Copenhagen-based communications professional with 5-7+ years of relevant experience and is fluent in German and English to help strengthen Urban Partners' presence in Germany.
About the role
In this role, you will develop and implement strategies and tactics that bring our stories to life across top-tier and trade media, helping to position our business and connect with key audiences in Germany. Based in Copenhagen, with recurring travel to Germany, you will play an important role in shaping how Urban Partners shows up in one of our fastest-growing and most strategic markets. You will have the opportunity to build and strengthen our German media presence while working closely with senior stakeholders across our company, including capital formation, transactions, asset and portfolio management, sustainability and company leadership.
You will play a central role in shaping communications around key transactions, investments and strategic initiatives, ensuring clear, consistent and compliant messaging across markets and stakeholders.

Key tasks
- Drive PR efforts in Germany, including narrative development, proactive pitching and reactive response
- Shape and maintain a structured news flow, identifying priority moments, storylines and media opportunities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with German key journalists, editors and media across top-tier and trade outlets
- Plan and execute media activity around key announcements, including exclusives, embargo strategies and coordinated outreach, ensuring alignment with joint venture partners, investors and other external stakeholders
- Prepare and advise spokespeople, including senior leadership, and develop talking points and materials for media engagement, acting as a trusted advisor on positioning, messaging and media strategy in Germany
- Write press releases, develop proactive pitches and produce content in English and German as needed
- Translate and adapt content for German audiences across press, social, digital and investor-facing channels
- Monitor the German media landscape and support issues and crisis management, including rapid response and message development
- Provide insights on the German media landscape, competitor positioning and public narratives to inform communications strategy
- Manage and coordinate local external PR agency
- Support strategic communications planning and contribute to business-critical projects such as product launches and major announcements
Experience and skills
- Native or fluent German, with deep knowledge of the German media landscape and established relationships with relevant journalists, editors and media outlets.
- 5-7+ years of PR and media relations experience, with the ability to identify compelling stories, shape them for different audiences and secure coverage in relevant local and international outlets.
- Familiarity with real estate, investment management, private equity or related sectors as well as an understanding of financial communications, is an advantage.
- Excellent writing and editing skills in English and German, with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging communications.
- Good judgement on reputation, issues and stakeholder dynamics, with hands-on experience supporting issues management in a fast-moving environment.
- Experience supporting complex, multi-stakeholder projects, bringing structure to cross-functional work and contributing to clear, strategic recommendations.
- Independent, proactive and collaborative, with the ability to move confidently between strategic planning and hands-on execution.
- Comfortable working as part of a small, high-performing team that values a sense of humor.
