What the day will look like
- end-to-end handling of insurance claims across various lines of business (e.g. property, liability, motor, accident & health - depending on the portfolio)
- registration and set-up of new claims in internal systems
- verification and analysis of claim documentation (policies, endorsements, invoices, medical / expert reports, correspondence)
- assessment of coverage in line with policy terms and conditions and internal guidelines (within granted authority)
- monitoring claim progress and actively following up with insurers, clients and stakeholders
- handling queries from clients and stakeholders regarding claim status and next steps
- supporting complex and major claims under the guidance of senior colleagues / claim experts
- ensuring that all claim files are complete, accurate and properly documented in the system
- ensuring compliance with internal procedures, quality standards and service level agreements
- participating in projects aimed at improving and automating claims processes
- participating in transition and migration of new claims processes to the team
- proposing process and/or system improvements to the team manager

Skills and experience that will lead to success
- experience in insurance claims handling or strong motivation to develop in claims (property, liability, motor or other lines of business) - will be a strong advantage
- good knowledge of the insurance market and basic understanding of insurance products - nice to have
- very good knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook)
- ability to analyse cases and processes and identify areas for improvement
- ability to identify and appropriately respond to operational and claim-related risks
- excellent attention to detail is a must
- strong analytical skills and ability to think creatively when solving claim issues
- English - level B2
- German - level C1
- ability to adapt communication style to different stakeholders (clients, insurers, internal teams)
- very good time management and organizational skills
