Are you passionate about gaming and experienced in translation? TransPerfect Games is looking for ENGLISH into GERMAN gaming translators and proofreaders to collaborate on exciting localization projects. You'll work on everything from indie games to AAA titles, ensuring the best gaming experience for German players.

What We're Looking For:
• Native-level proficiency in German
• Strong command of English
• Deep passion for gaming and familiarity with gaming terminology
• Minimum 2 years of experience in gaming localization (English>German)
• Expertise in Adventure, Strategy, and Fantasy games
• Skilled in CAT tools (preferably in memoQ)
• Detail-oriented with excellent grammar, spelling, and terminology skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced, creative environment

Important information:

This is a contract-based opportunity.

As a mandatory requirement, you must have the right to work in Tokyo. You will be required to provide supporting documentation.

This is an onsite position. You are required to work onsite during core business hours (Mon - Fri, 8 hours per day) at our office in Tokyo. So you shall be based in the Tokyo area or you are within commuting distance to our office.

Minimum Requirements (Must meet ONE of the following):

A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies (or equivalent with significant translation training)

2+ years of translation experience + a college degree

5+ years of translation experience (no degree required)

A translation certification issued by an appropriate government body
