Founder's Associate (Marketing) - Track to Managing DirectorLisbon-based (relocation supported) | Native or near-native German | Equity upsideWe're hiring a German-speaking marketing all-rounder to scale an established DACH e-commerce brand and grow into the person who runs it.
This is the closest thing to being a founder without having to start from scratch. The brand is established and operationally stable. The next stage is marketing-led scaling.
If you're strong here, you'll take on outsized responsibility and earn meaningful equity as you grow into the Managing Director role.
What you'll doFrom day one, you'll own the brand's growth agenda together with the CEO. You'll decide what to test next, run experiments end-to-end, and build the marketing system that scales.
You'll spend your time where impact is highest, including:
- Paid digital growth (Meta + Google): learn and then own strategy, media buying, testing, and iteration
- Creative direction and messaging (German): angles, hooks, copy for ads and landing pages, offer framing
- Campaign planning: promo calendar, launches, fast iteration cycles across channels
- Strategy and positioning: continuously refine narrative and offers using customer insight, conversion data, and retention signals
- Cross-functional execution: close cooperation with CX, Design, and Product to improve the full customer journey
- Team leadership: help set priorities, raise the bar, and later lead the team you're working with today
This role combines decision-making and execution. You'll influence direction and deliver real output every week.
Growth path- Month 1-3: Start as Founder's Associate, learn from the current CEO, and own key growth execution from day one
- Month 3-6: Grow into leading marketing end-to-end across channels and functions
- From Month 6: Step into Managing Director responsibility for the brand, manage the organization, and earn meaningful equity
What we're looking for- Native or near-native German (you can write persuasive, natural copy)
- You love marketing in all its forms and want to become exceptional
- High standards, high output, low ego
- Ownership mindset: you spot gaps and close them with urgency
- You're excited to learn paid digital properly and take full responsibility for it
- Proof you execute: projects, campaigns, writing samples, brand work, etc.
- Nice to have: previous experience leading an e-commerce brand
