ABOUT THE ROLE

As a EMEA Payroll Specialist at Takeda, you will be responsible for the day-to-day processing of assigned payrolls within the scope of the EMEA region. You will be completing payroll changes, on-and offboarding, banking requirements for salary and tax payments, month-end reconciliations, and time-and attendance administration. You will ensure timely resolutions to queries and provide additional project work support.

Accelerate value & make an impact by:

• Ensuring the completeness and accuracy of payroll data input, encompassing various aspects such as employee life cycle events, benefits, time and attendance records, specific equity transactions, and international assignments.Processing payroll comprehensively and promptly, adhering to the specific requirements of each country's regulations.
• Implementing payroll controls diligently and in accordance with the established control framework.
• Timely completion of monthly and annual post-payroll tasks, including making payroll, tax, and social security payments, submitting required reports, reconciling payroll with accounting records, etc.
• Managing time and attendance procedures, including administering vacation policies, managing employee entitlements, creating schedules, etc.
• Collaborating effectively with external service providers and the global team.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for inquiries and concerns related to payroll and time and attendance.
• Maintaining documentation of processes and controls, as well as tracking performance metrics.
• Identifying opportunities for process and activity enhancements and proposing improvements accordingly

Required Qualifications

• Experience working in either Payroll, Accounting, Accounts Payable or Financial Controlling
• Knowledge and proven track record of applying principles, concepts and industry practices and standards
• Fluency in English is essential.
• Good working knowledge of German (both wirtten and spoken)
• Well versed with Microsoft Excel
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
• Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and proactive approach to process optimizatio
