German Language Teacher for Children in Tokyo, Japan

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a German Language Teacher to provide customized in-person lessons to our clients in Tokyo, Japan.

What We Offer
You will have an active and independent role as a language teacher.
Once onboarded, you'll have access to the teachers' platform and receive offers. With the assistance of your Talent Success Coach, you can accept the classes that match your schedule and preferences. You have complete control over your agenda, and we don't require a minimum number of hours per week or month.

C190413 Position Details: The teacher must have experience teaching children.

• Student: Individual class for a 6-year-old girl
• Availability: Tuesday / Wednesday from 5-6pm and/or any time on Saturday
• Lesson Frequency: 2 times per week
• Lesson Duration: 30-60 minutes per session
• Current level: Beginner level; attended a bilingual kindergarten in Basel
• Location: Lessons are to be held at the student's home near the Roppongi High School, Tokyo
• Student's language needs and goals: "Continue to improve my daughter's German level (reading, writing, listening and speaking) in a playful way. Not to forget German as now she is in a non-German speaking country, meanwhile hoping to keep up the German level per her age".

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, tailored lessons that inspire and motivate students
• Design and implement customized curricula in alignment with learners' proficiency levels and objectives
• Track and assess student progress, guiding them to help them achieve their learning goals
• Communicate professionally and effectively with students, ensuring a positive learning environment

Qualifications:

• To have native or near-native proficiency in German, both written and spoken
• To have a degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, linguistics, second language acquisition, or a related field
• At least two years of German language teaching experience
