Institutional Sales Trader - Italian or German Speaking

THE ROLE

Virtu is looking for an experienced Institutional Sales Trader to join our EMEA prop team, focusing on developing and supporting client relationships across the continent.

This client-facing role combines trading, technology and relationship management. You will act as a trusted execution partner to clients, understanding their trading objectives and working closely with Virtu's sales and trading teams to deliver high-quality execution and grow our European OTC business.

You will:

• Develop and manage relationships with institutional investors, ETF issuers and other ETF stakeholders across Europe.
• Onboard clients and provide them with relevant market colour, liquidity insights and pre- and post-trade analysis.
• Manage client orders throughout the execution lifecycle and deliver high-quality outcomes, including working with principal traders and algorithmic execution of orders.
• Take a consultative approach, identifying the execution strategies and solutions that best meet clients' needs.
• Identify new areas of growth.
• Be responsible for growing and elevating the European OTC business.

THE CANDIDATE

• At least 3 years of experience in institutional sales, sales trading or capital markets.
• Experience developing and managing relationships with institutional investors.
• Fluency in English and either Italian or German is essential. Additional European languages are advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of ETFs, European equity markets, market structure, liquidity and execution strategies.
• Strong commercial judgement, analytical ability and risk awareness.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building and organisational skills.
• A proactive, collaborative and entrepreneurial approach.
