Program Controls Specialist German Speaker

Job Description

As a Program Controls Specialist I here at Honeywell, you will manage scheduling, cost management, risk assessment, and reporting, impacting the organization by overseeing various program and project management aspects. You will report directly to our Program Controls Supervisor, and you'll work out of our Bucharest location on a Hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office + 2 days work from home).

Responsibilities for Candidates

• Maintain project cost and schedule tools used by Business Analysts (BAs) to accurately measure, forecast, and track project-related work and ensure timely delivery of products, including resource planning.
• Ensure the accuracy of earned value data on assigned projects to support effective project tracking and performance measurement.
• Work closely with project management, contract management, engineering, and construction teams to define detailed measurement and scheduling criteria.
• Ensure adherence to project control procedures and standards across projects.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to produce accurate cost estimates for change orders and maintain associated logs within the PPM (Cora System, SAP).
• Coordinate with Business Management (Program Managers, Directors, Finance) to report project and program forecasts.
• Manage receivables and payables balances for allocated projects.
• Participate in project risk review sessions to identify and mitigate potential issues.

Qualifications for Candidates

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or project management preferred.
• 2 to 4 years of relevant project management/controls experience across disciplines such as engineering, software development, construction, and procurement.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with skills in Excel;
• Hands-on experience with enterprise-wide cost accounting systems, preferably SAP; knowledge of cost estimating and controlling
• Basic understanding of scheduling tools like MS Project or Primavera; knowledge of contracts, finance, and cash flow processes.
• Strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills; proactive, resourceful, and able to multi-task effectively.
• German language
