The Opportunity

We're looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Account Manager to accelerate growth across the DACH region. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hunter minded sales professional who thrives on winning new business, opening doors and developing long term commercial partnerships.
With approximately 80% of your focus dedicated to new business development and 20% focused on managing and growing existing accounts, you'll play a crucial role in expanding James Cropper's presence across one of Europe's most important markets.

What You'll Be Doing
As our Sales Account Manager, you'll identify, develop and convert new opportunities while building trusted relationships with customers and partners throughout the paper and packaging value chain.
Including;
- Drive new business growth across the DACH region by developing a strong pipeline of high potential opportunities.
- Identify and engage decision makers across converters, distributors, brand owners and manufacturing businesses.
- Develop strategic sales plans to penetrate new markets and customer segments.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and qualification through to negotiation and contract closure.
- Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders across technical, procurement, operational and executive functions.
- Manage a portfolio of existing accounts, ensuring strong customer satisfaction and sustainable growth.
- Collaborate closely with technical, product development, operations and customer service teams to deliver exceptional customer solutions.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and industry developments to identify emerging opportunities.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and use data driven insights to support commercial decision making.
- Represent James Cropper at industry events, exhibitions and customer meetings throughout the DACH region.
What We're Looking For
We're seeking a confident and motivated sales professional with a proven track record of developing new business within the paper, packaging or related industrial sectors.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have:
- Fluent German and English language skills, both written and spoken.
- Experience selling into the paper, packaging and converting sectors.
- Strong knowledge of the papermaking industry, either gained directly within a paper manufacturer or through converters and associated supply chains.
- Demonstrable success winning new business and developing strategic customer relationships.
- Experience managing complex sales cycles and multiple stakeholder groups.
- Excellent commercial negotiation and influencing skills.
- A proactive, self-starting approach with the ability to work independently across a large geographical territory.
- Strong CRM discipline and pipeline management skills.
- A willingness to travel regularly throughout the DACH region and to head office in UK when required.
