The Sales Development Representative (SDR) plays a critical role in driving awareness and the adoption of Cohesity's solutions. This foundational role is suited for individuals passionate about beginning a career in sales. The role is focused on identifying new business opportunities and contributing to the development of a strong and sustainable sales pipeline.

HOW YOU'LL SPEND YOUR TIME HERE:

• Collaborate with team members to build and refine outbound prospecting lists.
• Identify key decision-makers within target accounts.
• Create and execute multi-channel outreach sequences (phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.).
• Conduct discovery calls to assess prospective needs and introduce Cohesity solutions.
• Respond promptly to inbound leads via phone, email, LinkedIn, etc.
• Qualify leads using predefined criteria and book meetings for Account Executives to progress opportunities.
• Work closely with account executives to hand off qualified opportunities.
• Develop deep knowledge of Cohesity's platform to confidently communicate our value proposition.

WE'D LOVE TO TALK TO YOU IF YOU HAVE MANY OF THE FOLLOWING:

• Enthusiasm for sales, with ideally 1+ year of relevant experience
• Fluency in German & English language
• Comfortable using CRM and prospecting tools
• Experience with researching companies, cold calling, emailing, and navigating organizational hierarchies
• Confident in making cold calls and handling objections
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Receptive to coaching and continuous feedback
• High level of grit and perseverance in a fast-paced environment
• Strong work ethic and goal-oriented mindset
• Collaborative, team-first attitude with a willingness to share knowledge and best practices
• Self-motivated with a focus on learning and career development
• Ability to multitask and manage time effectively
• College or bachelor's degree
