Job Description

We are looking for a Security Coordinator to support and coordinate security and privacy compliance activities for a complex IoT application environment.

In this role, you will work closely with development teams, security and privacy experts, auditors, and business stakeholders to ensure that applications meet relevant security, privacy, and internal compliance requirements.

You will coordinate assessment and approval processes, track compliance activities, and support the implementation of security and privacy requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate security and privacy assessment processes for a critical IoT application system involving several subsystems, ensuring timely completion of required activities and documentation.
• Support and coordinate internal compliance and approval processes, including the Deutsche Telekom Privacy and Security Assessment (PSA) process.
• Act as the main contact for internal and external security and privacy auditors, coordinating audit activities, documentation, and responses.
• Coordinate and track the implementation of security and privacy-related action items, ensuring follow-up with responsible teams.
• Support the preparation and coordination of necessary compliance approvals, including employee data protection and workers' council-related requirements where applicable.
• Provide guidance to development teams on security, privacy, and compliance best practices, based on industry standards and internal company policies.
• Collaborate with technical teams, security specialists, and business stakeholders to identify compliance gaps, assess risks, and support remediation activities.
• Maintain compliance documentation, track progress, and provide regular status updates to relevant stakeholders.

Qualifications

Required Skills and Experience

• Professional experience in IT security compliance, information security governance, data protection, IT risk management, or a related field.
• Good understanding of security and privacy principles, regulatory requirements, and compliance processes, including GDPR.
• Experience coordinating security assessments, compliance activities, audits, or similar processes in IT environments.
• Ability to work across development and business teams, coordinating different activities involving complex applications and development environments.
• Experience in project coordination, stakeholder management, or project management within IT environments.
• Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate security and privacy requirements to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• German and English language proficiency at B2 level or higher.

Nice to Have

• Knowledge of the Deutsche Telekom PSA Framework, including its processes, roles, assessment areas, and Security Operations Centers (SOCs).
• Experience working with security and privacy compliance frameworks in large international organizations.
• Knowledge of German data protection regulations, including BDSG, and employee data protection requirements.
• Experience coordinating compliance activities involving workers' councils or similar employee representative bodies.
• Familiarity with information security standards and frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, or similar.
• Experience working with IoT platforms, cloud-based applications, or complex enterprise IT systems.
• Relevant certifications in information security, privacy, compliance, or project management.
