About the Role:
CBRE is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Finance Manager to support a significant client within the Life Science industry across multiple countries in the EMEA region. This pivotal role will involve overseeing and optimizing financial operations, with a focus on financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, and management reporting. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, a proactive approach to process improvement, and a solid understanding of financial regulations and best practices across various EMEA countries.
This position falls under the Financial Strategy and Operations job function, with responsibility for maintaining accounting, financial, and reporting policies and controls.
What You Will Do:
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning across EMEA.
• Prepare and analyze complex financial reports (reconciliations, cash flow, etc.).
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly journal entries.
• Provide ad hoc financial analyses and presentations for EMEA management.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation across EMEA.
• Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures for EMEA compliance.
• Manage revenue recognition processes, including automation.
• Prepare monthly invoices.
• Oversee and improve client reporting processes (automation focus).
• Collaborate with EMEA operational teams for financial alignment.
• Drive cost savings initiatives and vendor analysis across EMEA.
• Manage complete financial operations, including forecasting and invoice generation.
• Analyze debt/credit and contribute to cost control and savings initiatives.
What You'll Need:
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, with 5+ years of relevant experience in finance and accounting.
• Demonstrated experience working with financial regulations and accounting principles in multiple EMEA countries.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and make data-driven recommendations.
• Expertise in PeopleSoft and revenue automation is essential.
• Fluent English and German.
• Experience with automating revenue recognition processes is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Excel is required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Nice to have: Experience with Power BI.
