About the role
To complete and control end-to-end billing, invoice issue processing, and financial adjustments processes, ensuring accurate invoicing, timely issue resolution, and compliance with BP financial and audit standards.
The role supports billing operations and IIPA (Invoice Issue Processing & Adjustments) across customer contracts, ensuring financial accuracy and customer satisfaction.

About the role

In this role You will
Billing Operations
- Complete invoice generation and validation in line with contract terms and pricing
- Supervise and resolve billing errors, discrepancies, and exceptions
- Manage billing blocks and support release activities in SAP where required
- Perform billing corrections including rebilling and data adjustments
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of billing cycles
IIPA (Invoice Issue Processing & Adjustments)
- Investigate invoice disputes and root causes
- Implement financial corrections (credit notes, rebilling, adjustments)
- Resolve invoice-related issues impacting customers and internal participants
- Ensure correct financial outcome and compliance with controls
Customer & Operational Support
- Support resolution of customer billing queries in coordination with Customer Care
- Liaise with Sales Support, Master Data, and Pricing teams to resolve issues
- Provide input into process improvements based on recurring billing issues
Controls, Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure adherence to BP financial controls, audit, and compliance standards
- Maintain accurate documentation for all billing corrections and adjustments
- Support reconciliation activities and financial reporting where required
Key Activities (Aligned to BP Activity Files / Process Split)
- Invoice processing (creation, validation, correction)
- Error handling (invoice discrepancies, pricing issues, data inconsistencies)
- Credit note processing
- Billing block management and release
- Billing-related SAP transactions
- Financial adjustment processing (IIPA activities)
- Coordination with cross-functional teams (CMD, Customer Care, Sales Support)
What You will need to be successful
- Relevant Business degree /certification or equivalent experience required
- Ability to understand of the business requirements and strategy
- Minimum 2 years previous experience in a business support environment
- Fluency in English and German
- Must demonstrate high level of proficiency in Microsoft Packages (Excel & Word) and show an intermediate level interest in CRM systems/applications
- Strong time management and organisation skills
- Excellent written/oral communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships
- Goal-oriented personality and capability to overcome obstacles
- Capability to work in a team or individually if required
- Ability to keep deadlines whilst under pressure without compromising accuracy
- Highly motivated
